The all-new Thunder Pro GTX excels for fast, stable movement over rough terrain and multi-day outings with heavy packs. The secret to the Thunder Pro's comfort is Zamberlan's new Active Heel Pad (AHP) construction, which strategically positions a low-density PU insert pocketed within the heel of the insole. This transfers impact of the heel with the ground directly to the sole for continuous cushioning, reducing wear on your joints.
The Thunder Pro derives its toughness from durable, Hydrobloc-treated Perwanger leather uppers, lined with GORE-TEX waterproof-breathable membranes. For support in off-trail, rugged terrain, the soft collar protects the ankle, while PU toe and heel rands shrug off rocks and brush. Because every ounce adds up over long trips, the Thunder Pro uses a lightweight, high-visibility Vibram Junko Lite outsole with Megagrip for maximum traction with minimum weight.
