DISCOVER THE DIFFERENCE

  • The Family has 85 years of tradition in the mountain boot manufacturing, having developed a profound culture for outdoor and mountain footwear and a great respect for the artisan craftsmanship.

ITALIAN QUALITY BOOTMAKERS SINCE 1929

  • The family maxim "Discover the Difference" characterizes the passion of Zamberlan’s third generation, accompanying Maria and Marco through each new collection, always designed and built in the continuity of traditions, so to meet each client’s need.
  • Everything began in 1929 when Giuseppe Zamberlan started his business as a shoemaker at the foot of the Small Dolomites.
Combining his passion for mountains and for his work, Giuseppe conceived more performant and safer boots. Using the innovative and safe rubber soles, born from the collaboration with Vitale Bramani, founder of VIBRAM®, these boots became a revolutionary product.
  • The success of these products and the resulting demand were such that he opened, together with his wife Maria, an expert machinist and sewer, a small workshop.
  • In 1970 his son Emilio exported his products overseas, conquering the Asian markets (Japan and Korea) before and then Europe and North America. The importance of the latter is demonstrated by the opening of a subsidiary in 2009.
  • Despite the competition and the crisis in the sector, the constant research and the development of new materials, designs and technologies have kept the product competitive, handmade and Italian.

ZAMBERLAN FIT

  • The engineering of the lasts and the Zamberlan® footwear construction take into account all the anatomical aspects of the foot: an investment for your feet.
  • Zamberlan® engineered and created different lasts based on the specific end use and on the anatomical characteristics of the foot.
  • As a rule, they are all comfortable, not too long and have a good volume.
  • To ensure the boot will take and maintain the shape for a long time, Zamberlan® developed the Foot Wrapping Last Process.
  • The foot plays an important role in supporting the weight of the entire body and in locomotion.
The bones of the foot are arched longitudinally to help facilitate the support function. The transverse arch helps with movements of the foot.
  • These movements help keep the sole (plantar surface) in contact with the ground despite the unevenness of the ground surface.
  • They also work in concert with the ankle joint tto help propel the foot off the ground during the tow off portion of the gait cycle.

QUALITY

  • Quality is the reason why the boots of our traditional lines, our “genuine Italian products”, are still produced in Italy, in our factory, where we work every day. We cannot compromise on this based on our ethics towards our workers, as well, our demand for the most consistent quality in our products.
  • Quality has always been our top priority with no compromise, it is as simple as that.
  • Quality has always been our top priority, without compromise. We put our utmost efforts, skills, knowledge and passion into each day to achieve a top quality product.
  • A quality product begins by selecting superior raw materials. We only consider materials that pass our stringent quality standards. All materials are inspected upon arrival. The most crucial materials are inspected off-site.
  • On-site, our team of qualified and skilled workers is extremely dedicated to their jobs. Each pair of boots is routinely inspected during each stage of the production cycle. Our finishing department makes a rigorous quality check, readily rejecting any pair that does not match the standards we require.
  • Field tests are carried out before finalizing a new product. The Zamberlan family personally tests new ideas and models: Emilio on his hiking and trekking trips every Sunday, Marco on his ice climbing, scrambling, bouldering, hiking and backpacking, Maria on her hiking and backpacking activity.
  • Quality also means improving our machinery. This includes tools and construction methods to streamline the manufacturing process. Examples are the F.W.S. (Foot Wrap System) or the R.R.S (Rubber Rand System).
