How do I select the ideal size for my boots?

This is one of the most difficult questions, as every foot is different. We recommend customers in North America get fitted at a local outdoor specialty retailer whenever possible. If not, please refer to our sizing charts.

Zamberlan EU sizing differs from other brands. For example, our EU 42 corresponds to a US 8, while other brands may consider it a US 9. Generally, women's Italian-made boots fit true to size, while men's Italian-made boots may run slightly long.

What are the differences between the various types of leather?

Full grain leather is the highest quality, offering durability and resistance. Waxed full grain includes a wax finish for enhanced appearance and feel. Nubuck is brushed full grain leather for added resistance. Split grain is lighter and often used in suede. Perwanger leather is a premium proprietary material known for extreme durability and performance.

How does leather thickness improve boot quality?

Thicker leather increases resistance and insulation. High-performance models use leather up to 2.8–3.0 mm thick for extreme conditions.

Why does Zamberlan use Vibram soles?

Zamberlan has a long-standing partnership with Vibram, known for producing high-performance outsoles that ensure durability and reliability.

Can I resole my boots?

Most Zamberlan footwear is resolable. Check the technical details on each product page. Italian-made products (about 95% of production) can be resoled with original outsoles.

Why does Zamberlan use only Gore-Tex membranes?

Gore-Tex guarantees high standards in waterproofing, breathability, and performance. All components are tested and approved to ensure top quality and user comfort.

Does Zamberlan still produce in Italy?

Yes. Since 1929, production has taken place in Italy, with expert craftsmen ensuring high quality and consistency.
