A little narrow in comparison to their other size 9 boots

These are awesome shoes!
I bought them because I already had the model over the ankle in green.
They felt very comfortable the moment I put them on. No need to break them in, went out for an hour hike and my feet did not hurt.
Everything is top notch, materials, design, craftsmanship.
I like how they have that kind of sock around, beneath the ankle, that keeps the debris out and doesn’t allow the heel to move inside the shoe, even with the laces undone. It’s a very gentle squeeze, doesn’t create any issue.
The toe box is also very comfortable, I don’t feel any pressure points, no seems or material bunched in there.

I have been wearing Zamberlan for many years. They are the only brand I wear because of the quality and fit. I currently have 6 pairs on the go including 3 of the SALATHE GTX. This is my favourite daily walking/hiking shoe and I rotate their use. I should note that I am 80yo, have bad foot problems and wear custom orthotics. The comfort is amazing and I’ve never had any rubbing/friction; they fit like a glove. They are also sure footed on rough terrain with great grip. Love them!

True to size, very comfortable approach shoe. Materials and workmanship/fit and finish are top notch.

on my 4th pair. I wear them every day and walk about 2000 km on a pair before the sole wears out. Always perfect fit out of the box.

Bottom tread picks up rocks very easily, bad design, otherwise all else great boot!

Fit perfect, very comfortable, I purchased the lower cut due to an Achilles tendon injury. They have not bothered my tendon at all. Love the colour.

Love the hikers first pair but will buy again

I have worn the Salathes several times now. They are waterproof and very comfortable. I look forward to wearing them on my New Mexico elk hunt in early September. The fit is great. They aren't overly wide but fit wider than the Crispis that I have tried. My foot tends to be too wide for most Crispi boots. I think Zamberlain will become my go to boot in the future.

These shoes are great. True to size, super comfortable, and very well made. I have other Zamberlands and have never been disappointed .

Seem well made…wish opening was wider

Oh, these are great! I previously owned a pair of 996 VIOZ GTX that I absolutely loved. At the end of 2017 I was involved in an accident that completely changed my life. Sadly my 996 Zamberlan's were given away since the consideration of use later on was considered nonexistent. Well, many, many, surgical procedures later including one on my foot 6 weeks ago. I am tearing it up on the beach with these. They are fantastic! I am walking 3.5-mile loops on the beach already and these are a new part of my recovery. They fit perfect and were absolutely comfortable out of the box. The light flex in the toe gives the 215 a sense of speed. The scuff guard around the base works great in the sand, but the shoes sole is stiff enough to prevent excessive sinking. I can't wait to work my ability up to hiking the Olympic mountains. Great shoes.

Have had and wore the shoes for several days including tall wet grass and on rocky ground. Excellent for both. Feels like a comfort shoe but perform like a solid hiking boot.

I’ve only worn my new Zamberlan shoes three times. With the exception of the left shoe feeling a bit tight, they are comfortable and extremely well built and stylish! Hoping the left shoe breaks in a bit to provide the same comfort as the right shoe.

These Salathes, as soon as I put them on, felt to be the most supportive and comfortable shoes I had ever tried...as i wear them, simply as a daily shoe, they are becoming increasing more so. Can only imagine the pleasure of them on hikes (which me as a city dweller do not have the luxury of). Though this may seem silly, I have been tempted to buy another pair so that i don't have to go without for quite a long time...thinking that sums up how much I enjoy these shoes. LOVE 'EM.
